Warner Bros.

Inherent Vice EPK Interviews

Production Designer

Director: Aaron Skotland

Production Company: Trailer Park

Here we transformed an empty conference room at the Trump Hotel to reflect the look and feel of the film set in 1970. These interviews are official content to promote the feature film and will be featured in the special features portion of the DVD once it is released.  We put together about three looks throughout the course of two days of interviews.

Comedy Central

"Lee's Kill List" (Pilot Presentation)

Production Designer

Directors: Josh Ruben and Vincent Peone

Production Company: Josh + Vince

For "Lee's Kill List" we had the fun challenge of turning this former corrections office-turned-Rent-A-Center-turned-county-owned furniture storage unit into a functional office space where most of the pilot's action took place. We were lucky in that we had the location's office furniture at our disposal, the only problem was there was a way too much of it. The other issue we had with the space was that it was slightly too big for what we were shooting and had to devise a way to close off some of the excess space while still maintaining the spirit of the original location for our "Peppy Spotter Office," where the main character is a salesman for a cleaning supply company .

We ended up clearing the space of any unwanted furniture and stashed it on a camera-safe side of the room using the filing cabinets as a wall to block the furniture. We then built a plug for the alcove shown below and installed two doors in the flats: one for the restroom, one for the manager's office. We used the adjacent space for our office pantry. We cleared that area of any furniture and installed a sink on top of cabinets, wall cabinets and dressed it with a table, chairs and a water cooler.

We had logos made for our fictional cleaning product, "Peppy Spotter" as well as a trophy prop and a safety trophy made out of foam that was lobbed at the back of one of our characters in a dramatic scene.

Pampers

"Goodbye Saggy Bottom Blues" (Rip)

Production Designer

Director: Nate Taylor

Production Company: Kyle Edit

Kyle Edit was asked to make a rip for an upcoming pampers commercial. We were working with the production company's editing office as our space to shoot. We had three main setups: a nursery, a living room and a master bedroom. We weren't using the entire room for these so dressing was kept to about half of the room.

Black Forest

"Mama Bear"

Production Designer

Director: Dan Powell

Production Company: Click 3X

We shot 6 promos in two days. The spots were centered around a mother and her three very messy kids so we had a lot of very involved setups. We had picture cars overloaded with vacation gear and toys on the roof, food messes in a car, a princess/dragon cake that fell apart on cue and then got smashed on cue in a kitchen, a glitter fight, and a continuous steady-cam shot throughout the entire ground floor level of the house at the top of the first day of shooting. We had a lot on our plate, but we got through it and everything looked great.
